Rachel Lanter has been building businesses since before most people have their first job.
At 16, she asked her father for the lowest-performing division of his company. She had ideas. Within the first year, she turned it into a 500% revenue increase and eventually one of his top earners. In 2008, at just 24 years old, she launched her own business in Trinidad.
But growing a business meant paying for help. And the help was not always worth it. At 27, still in Trinidad, she paid $25,000 TT for a strategic solution that could not be implemented. Not because she was not smart enough. Because it was not built for her business. She built her own solution instead, developed her own framework, assembled a team, and took her company to the top of its industry in Trinidad.
I built my own framework because what existed was not built for someone like me. That is true for most business owners today.
In 2018, she moved to America at 34 with a different expectation. What she found instead was an $18,000 sales strategy program where the people who completed it were no better off than when they started. Not because they did not work hard. Because the strategies were built for companies with full infrastructure, not for coaches, consultants, solopreneurs, and small business owners who needed something they could use right now.
